Weddings & Handfastings
Enjoy a private wedding or handfasting or have your marriage legally solemnized Masssachusetts by Rev. Joanna Scaparotti. (Legal same-sex marriages in MA for MA residents only.)
I can faciliate all elements of a basic wedding or handfasting ceremony. This includes advice on obtaining your marriage license, organizing the parents, wedding party and any additional ceremony participants, conducting a stress-free rehearsal that leaves everyone confident about their roles on the big day, officiating the wedding and filing the license after the ceremony.
The fee for all this is $100. After we meet for a free consultation, a 50% deposit is required when you are ready to make your reservation.
For weddings and ceremonies located more than 50 miles from Boston, there is additional $75-$150 travel fee depending on distance and location.
Custom wedding and handfasting ceremonies

I can assist you and your partner in creating a meaningful, personalized ceremony that feels exactly right to you. I can guide you step by step to determine which wedding or handfasting ceremony elements represent your intentions accurately. This includes assisting you to identify the readings, prayers, blessings, and other mini-ceremonies that make sense for you, seamless integration of family, cultural or other faith based traditions into the ceremony, encouragment with writing your vows, and whatever work it takes to write and rewrite the script for the entire wedding or handfasting ceremony until it's perfect.
The fee for design and planning is $200. At the time of our planning meeting, a 50% deposit is required.
